Peter King was born on June 10, 1957 in Springfield, Massachusetts. King graduated from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism in 1979 where he was a news reporter for the school paper, The Post.

In 1989, King first began writing a weekly “Inside the NFL” column for Sports Illustrated. Almost 25 years later, King’s “Monday Morning Quarterback” column is one of the most read among sports fans nationwide. It’s become so successful over the years that King created an entire website based off the namesake of his column, entitled “The MMQB.”

King’s contributions as an NFL reporter go beyond his writing in print or online. He also appears regularly as an analyst and reporter for NBC’s Football Night in America studio show, a program that complements the network’s Sunday Night Football telecasts during the NFL season. He has also been a regular guest on NBC Sports Network’s The Dan Patrick Show.
