Wojnarowski was born in Bristol, Connecticut, not far from ESPN headquarters.

Wojnarowski attended St. Bonaventure University, where he worked part time with the Olean Times Herald.

After graduating, Wojnarowski covered junior college basketball for the Waterbury Republican-American before moving on to cover the UConn beat for three years.

Wojnarowski entered the New York market as a columnist for the New Jersey Record. During his time at the Record, he realized the importance of general columnists was fading, and he began to consider specializing in one sport.

Wojnarowski joined Yahoo! Sports in 2007, where he began to garner national attention for his reporting on the NBA.

He created his now-infamous Twitter account while covering the 2009 NBA draft for Yahoo!. He has more than two million followers and often uses Twitter to break stories.

Wojnarowski moved to ESPN in the summer of 2017, where he continues to cover and break news on the NBA.

He has a weekly podcast called the “WojPod” that features interviews with the biggest characters in the league.
